At the same time, a minor was lost their life in a distinct Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, as reported by regional authorities.

Russian forces has increased strikes on power infrastructure over the past few days, while the country's government has demanded "substantial measures" from partner nations to increase pressure on Moscow.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and over thirty rockets attacked energy facilities, labeling such strikes as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Russia was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were working to restore power.

A barrage of missiles struck power facilities and civilian homes in Kyiv.
